On June 1st, it was publicly announced the new contract between Petrobras, DOFCON/Norskan Offshore and Technip involving Skandi Vitória. The PLSV will be in operation for the client until the end of 2016. On the 20th, Skandi Niterói was signed as well for an 8-month contract. Mons S. Skandi Vitória has recently returned to Brazil after two months of operations in Africa, first in Angola and, then, in Ghana. Result of a joint venture with Technip, they are the first PLSVs built in Brazil and, so far, the only ones. Besides these two, the DOF-Technip partnership also has four PLSVs newbuilts under construction, two foreign (Skandi Açu and Skandi Buzios) and two Brazilians (Skandi Olinda and Skandi Recife).
